Life Time Achievement

Appointed in 1981, Redbridge’s own celebrity, the Pearly Queen, has now completed 27 years of talks and entertainment events both in and out of the Borough. Fees or donations ‘earned’ have been kindly passed on to various charities located within the Borough. 2003 stands out as a particularly memorable year, with an invitation to a Buckingham Palace Garden Party, and being honoured by Redbridge Council and entered on the Civic list. There is never a dull moment, with visits to hospitals, residential homes for the elderly or handicapped, clubs, organisations and schools. With her infectious smile and good humour, the Pearly Queen is an asset to Redbridge.
